I’m Katie — a lifestyle photographer based in Plattsburgh, New York, working with expecting parents and families during seasons that can feel both meaningful and uncertain.
I specialize in maternity, newborn, and family photography, with a calm, supportive approach rooted in comfort, clarity, and care. My work is centered on helping people feel at ease in front of the camera, especially when they don’t feel particularly confident or prepared.
Pregnancy and early parenthood can be deeply emotional — and also physically and mentally challenging. When I was pregnant, I didn’t feel comfortable in my body, and I chose not to do a maternity session. It’s a decision I still regret.
That experience shapes how I work today.
I understand how vulnerable it can feel to be photographed during times of change. My goal is never to push or persuade, but to create an experience that feels steady, respectful, and supportive — so you don’t have to talk yourself out of being documented the way I once did.
You don’t need to know how to pose.
You don’t need to feel confident.
You don’t need to have everything figured out.
I guide each session with patience and clarity, offering direction when needed and space when it’s helpful. Sessions are intentionally unhurried, with flexibility built in — especially for growing families and newborns.
Whether we’re working in your home or outdoors, the focus is always on comfort and connection rather than performance.
