What Happens If You Need Help Choosing Your Images or Products?

October 6, 2026

You’ve had your photography session, your gallery is ready, and now you’re looking through all of your beautiful images.

And suddenly you realize…

How am I supposed to choose?

Choosing your favorite photographs can be one of the hardest parts of the photography experience. You may love the images of everyone smiling, but then there’s that quiet photograph that makes your heart stop. Maybe your child wasn’t looking at the camera, but the expression feels so completely like them.

And then there are decisions about how you want to enjoy your photographs. Do you want digital images? Prints? A framed photograph for the wall? An album?

If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, you’re not alone.

You don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.

You Don’t Have to Choose Alone

One of the most important parts of my client experience is making sure you feel supported throughout the entire process.

When you receive your gallery, I want you to have the time and space to look through your images and enjoy them.

But if you find yourself struggling to narrow down your favorites or wondering what would work best for your home, I’m happy to help.

Sometimes you simply need another set of eyes.

I can help you look at your images from a storytelling perspective and think about which photographs work well together, which ones capture your family’s personalities, and which moments you may want to remember most.

There is no right or wrong answer.

Your photographs are personal to you, and ultimately, the images you choose should be the ones that mean something to you.

Choosing Your Favorite Images

When you’re looking through your gallery, I encourage you to pay attention to how each photograph makes you feel.

Of course, you’ll probably have photographs that you immediately love because everyone looks great and the lighting is beautiful.

But don’t overlook the quieter moments.

The photograph where your child is looking at you.

The little hand resting on yours.

The way your partner is looking at you.

The genuine laugh that wasn’t posed.

The tiny details you might not remember years from now.

These moments may not always be the most “perfect” photograph, but they can become some of the most meaningful.

When you’re having trouble choosing, I often recommend asking yourself:

Which photographs tell our story?

Which photographs feel like us?

Which moments do I want to remember years from now?

Those questions can make the process feel much easier.

What If I Love Too Many?

This is a good problem to have.

Sometimes you look through your gallery and realize that narrowing it down is nearly impossible.

If that happens, don’t rush yourself.

Start by choosing the images that immediately stand out to you. Then come back later and look through them again.

You may find that your favorites become clearer with a little time.

And if you’re still having trouble, I’m always happy to help you think through your choices.

The goal isn’t to choose the photograph that someone else would pick.

It’s to choose the photographs that you’ll still love looking at years from now.

Choosing Products for Your Home

Once you’ve chosen your favorite photographs, you may also wonder what to actually do with them.

Digital images are wonderful. They make it easy to share your photographs with family and friends and keep your images stored for years to come.

But there is something different about seeing your photographs in your home.

A framed photograph can become part of your everyday life.

An album can tell the story of an entire session.

A printed photograph can sit somewhere you’ll see it every day instead of disappearing into your camera roll.

You don’t need to fill your home with photographs to make them meaningful. Sometimes one thoughtfully chosen image is enough.

Not Sure What Would Look Best?

If you’re unsure which product or display option makes sense for you, I’m happy to help you think through it.

We can consider things like:

  • Where you want to display your photographs
  • The size of the space
  • Whether you’re looking for one meaningful photograph or a collection
  • Which images work well together
  • Whether you prefer something simple and classic or a larger statement piece
  • What makes the most sense for your family

You don’t need to know all of this before reaching out.

That’s part of why I’m here.

Your Home Doesn’t Need to Look Like a Magazine

When it comes to displaying your photographs, I don’t believe there is one “right” way to do it.

Your home should feel like your home.

Your photographs should fit naturally into your space and, more importantly, reflect the people who live there.

Maybe that’s one large family photograph above your sofa.

Maybe it’s a few smaller photographs displayed together.

Maybe it’s an album that you keep on your coffee table and flip through with your children.

There is no need to follow a trend just because it’s popular.

I want you to choose something you’ll still love years from now.

My Job Is to Guide You, Not Pressure You

I never want you to feel like you have to purchase something simply because you had a photography session.

My goal is to help you create something you’ll genuinely enjoy and value.

If digital photographs are what makes the most sense for you, that’s okay.

If you’d love to have a few photographs printed for your home, wonderful.

If you want an album filled with the little moments from your session, I’d love to help you create one.

The products are simply another way to enjoy the photographs you’ve already invested in.

There should never be pressure.

There should be guidance, support, and the freedom to choose what feels right for you.

Your Photographs Deserve to Be Enjoyed

Your photographs shouldn’t live forever on a hard drive or disappear somewhere in your phone’s camera roll.

They were created to help you remember.

To remember how small your baby was.

How your family looked in this particular season.

How your teenager looked before heading off into their next chapter.

How you laughed together.

How you loved each other.

How you felt right now.

Whether you choose to display your photographs in your home, create an album, or simply enjoy your digital gallery, I want you to feel confident in your choices.

And if you need a little help along the way, I’m here.

Because your photography experience shouldn’t end when your gallery is delivered.

It should continue every time you look at those photographs and remember exactly what this season of life felt like.
